Quite a mixture of people are coming through, some of the people today included: school kids; Derek (one of the participants of the project) who brought his wife in to see his portrait; some visitors from Bunbury who had come to visit Armadale for the day; a young man on his way to a job interview; a family with teenage children; some fellow artists; retirees; students and our member for Armadale, Alannah McTiernan.  It is fantastic to get such a diversity of viewers and see them enjoying the project.  It was a particular honour to take Alannah through the gallery and discuss different aspects of the project and the importance of such cultural activities in Armadale.

A  collection of books, magazines and patterns that mark a variety of fashion, lifestyles and events over the generations are available to browse through in the seating area of the gallery.

The gallery is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but five  people still came through yesterday and three today by special arrangement.  I also managed to catch up on some paperwork and painting.

The portrait paintings are now coming together.

(The gallery hours are Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 3pm)

There has been a good response to the exhibition with a regular amount of people coming through and spending  quality time browsing around.  Inside story has proved particularly popular.

The opening went down well, with viewers particularly enjoying the participatory aspects of the exhibition’ like Inside Story and browsing through the project documentation.  It was also very nice to catch up with some of the participants in the project.
