The Armadale Primary School, 1900, (the first school in Armadale) and The Congregational Church, 1903, (The first church in Armadale) were originally built on the corner of Church Ave and Third Road. As they were to be demolished for redevelopment The Armadale School and Congregational Church Relocation Trust was formed to rescue them. By this time the church had already been demolished, but this did not deter them, they bought back all the materials from the demolition company, and in 1988 rebuilt the Church brick by brick. The trust also re-sited the brick-built school, moving it, in its entirety by truck to its present location. They are now both sited at Minnawarra Historical Precinct, adjacent to Minnawarra Park.
