Having arrived at the Minnawarra Historical Precinct, I sat for a while, enjoying a moment in the warmth of the sun and casting my mind back to the reason I was here. It was in response to a conversation with an old couple. They said they loved to come here, it was a peaceful place where they often came to sit in the park. When they spoke of Minnawarra Chapel, they got quite animated; asking me if I knew it had been rebuilt from rubble. So I came and I enjoyed the peace they talked about and I painted the Chapel in acknowledgment of those that had worked so hard to save it.

The painting gets rehung in the window after each outing
