Decisions made earlier in the project meant both canvases had recorded the same paintings of Minnawarra Chapel.  Today at last, I got around to painting over one of them.  However, having just said that, I now realise that there is still a little painting in the background of the chapel. (This coming from the Minnawarra Park painting).  But as history has already shown, this little chapel is here to stay.

Minnawarra Chapel still in the picture.

Having arrived at the Minnawarra Historical Precinct, I sat for a while, enjoying a moment in the warmth of the sun and casting my mind back to the reason I was here. It was in response to a conversation with an old couple. They said they loved to come here, it was a peaceful place where they often came to sit in the park. When they spoke of Minnawarra Chapel, they got quite animated; asking me if I knew it had been rebuilt from rubble. So I came and I enjoyed the peace they talked about and I painted the Chapel in acknowledgment of those that had worked so hard to save it.
