Atalia Richardson from Swan Tafe started at the gallery today for work experience. This is going to be very helpful I hope for the two of us.  It will mean that I can spend more time painting and she can gain some valuable experience.

Liz is passionate about education as she has seen the difference it can make to peoples lives.  The Tafe system caters for a wide range of people not only does it provide vocational training and courses leading to specific skills and career paths, but enables people to update their skills and/or change direction.  Another of its important roles is to provide access courses for those that are disadvantaged or have slipped through the system.

Tomorrow the studio will be open once more between 11am – 3pm, as well as the continuation of the “Urban Art: Keep it Legal” exhibition.  The gallery will reopen at 4pm for its official opening, featuring a public forum entitled “Urban Arts: Works of Conscience”.  As part of the public forum internationally acclaimed artist Stormie Mills will give a presentation at 6pm.

Canvas showing the recent addition of Swan Tafe which only blocked in at this stage.

In case you have been wondering why the canvas has not been in the post office archway over the last two days its because I have been working from home.

What a lovely day it was yesterday.  I must have been the envy of many, sitting there out in the sun,  leisurely painting.  I have to say, it was a pretty good deal.
